Biography

After years of self-taught exploration, I began formal art studies in the late 1980s at San Jose State University. Returning to Ireland in 1992, I completed the Foundation Course at I.A.D.T. and earned a National Diploma and Degree in Fine Art. Since then, I have exhibited nationwide, including an invitation to a group show for The Princes Trust at Somerset House, UK, in 2012.

My work is represented in several private and public collections, such as Bank of Ireland, the OPW, Department of Defence, Flynn Hotel Group, Haddington Hotel Dublin, Blackrock Clinic, and Irish Credit Union.

Residencies on Clare Island, the Cill Rialaig Project in Co. Kerry, the Tyrone Guthrie Centre and time spent in Connemara and West Clare have deeply influenced my coastal scenes of the Wild Atlantic Way. I focus on texture, mark making, and surface, aiming for a fresh yet honest expression. My process continues to evolve, guided by my observations and emotions, as I seek to build a meaningful dialogue with the viewer.
